The overall theme is come walk in our footprints and there are 4 different theatres where a number of narrations are presented in a unique blend of cutting edge technology and human interaction.
The theatres focus on Welcome where our visitors will be welcomed to country and have explained the importance of country and the recognition that Aboriginal people come from a variety of countries/lands and that there are many difference between these peoples, The Land using digital glass technology, The Family using water screens and a Togetherness theatre using interactive multi screens. Intersperse amongst these three theatres will be a Hairy Man story specially design for children and other quality displays which provide an opportunity for visitors to delve into specific moments of contemporary Aboriginal history of Australia.
Jumbulla Aboriginal Discovery Centre is a state of art attraction. This is an exciting new project that has never been attempted anywhere in Australia. It represents the meeting of technologies stories of our ancestors and families; their loves and life and the new technology of multimedia, such as DigiGlass and water screens said Chris Noel (project manager for Jumbulla).
Colin Markham, a strong supporter of Aboriginal developments, is the chairman of the Board governing the project, said that the dream came from the families of the Illawarra and the hard work and dedication by the IAC and others is about to become reality. It's activities like this that brings about a closer understanding of issues and aspirations of Aboriginal people. I'm excited to part of this wonderful new attraction.
